The cancel mob doesn’t sleep. They showed it last night on Twitter when they went after comedian Bill Burr. Burr couldn’t pronounce a Mexican artist’s name and made a joke about it. Soon after, he was trending online. Burr & Eminem have both faced repeated cancellation calls over their careers, and they’ve both avoided successfully avoided by employing the same tactic. Last month it was Eminem, this month, it’s Bill Burr. Cancellers have taken to social media to put heads on proverbial guillotines and attempt to end careers. This time, for whatever reason, the cancellers seem to have a strong affinity for BTS. Luckily, they haven’t been able to rob us of these great artists. Cancellers have tried to sanitize the world of anything that may ‘trigger’ them, but truly courageous artists haven’t been afraid of their faceless, online barking. Let’s take a look at why people like Eminem and Bill Burr are still standing.
